if i were but a mere male

Its about that time for a post where I wish to be a male so I could wear the above.

So I could wake up in the morning and look down at my Tag Heur to check the time, before I jump out of bed and throw on that tshirt and those boots, before I head out onto the streets of New York in those shorts and vintage racer back top, before I meet friends and lay in the sun sporting those cool shades where we compare my black canvas carry bag with the tweed bag with the faux rope looking leather handles I bought a week earlier, before I casually reach down to pick up my denim blazer and head to hail a New York City cab to take me to the meat packing district to search for Tallulah Morton..whom I hope I will take home tonight.

See now, if I were a mere male I would have it all but figured out.

well heeled to increase your happy

Sometimes some days are worse than others and when you have those days you need a little something to pick you up. For me that little something usually involves chocolate and peppermint tea in abundance.

Sometimes however all it takes is a glimpse of something shiny, something structured in perfection, something that should be placed in a museum not laid to rest in a closet, something you know will make you instantly taller, something you know will attract attention. In this instance that little something just so happens to be a SHOE (or should that be SHOES?)

A Nicolas Kirkwood Spiderweb heel to be exact. Last spotted on Mary Kate Olsen in all its amazing glory at Fashions' Night Out in NYC.

Oh and then there is a little something by way of Finsk. A gold fish scale shoe boot so shiny and divine I can barely look at it.

And lastly (and yes I do realise this was part of his last season collection) may I introduce you to Alejandro Ingelmo's well heeled creation, as spotted and fawned over ever since in UK Grazia.

Yes they all brightened up my day and increased my happy ten fold. Dip them in chocolate and we may have ourselves the answer to anyone's problems...

start spreading the news

alexander wang

yigal azrouel

New York, New York Mercedes Benz Fashion week....oh what I would do to be there.

To be there, standing side by side Jen Brill, Erin Wasson, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Carine Roitfeld, Alexa Chung, Philip Lim, MK and Ashley, Diane Von Furstenberg, Dasha Khukova, Nate Lowman, the list could go on forever but instead I sit here on the other side of the world, perusing snap after- after party snap, dreaming away.

Alexander Wang, Charlotte Ronson, Preen and Yigal Azrouel consist of my favourites thus far. Now back to that dream...
