walk this way, talk this way

Found these little gems on the Topshop website and my black heart skipped a beat. I have two pairs of ankle boots that I have worn to death over the past few months, and although I still love them dearly and will likely refuse to part ways with them this summer, I think its time for some newbies...just because.

With my credit card on the way to being cleared and the overseas debt starting to subside (ever so slightly), I think it is my duty to give these boots a home. I have cleared a space in the wardrobe and laid down some tissue paper in anticipation of their arrival. Now I just need to decide between the Alexus mesh boot, the Able Suede Heeled Trainer or the Alexus Platform Chelsea boot.

Or should I bite the proverbial bullet and tell all three pairs to start walking this way?

you are my high

They say when you fall in love, not even the sweetest words can explain that feeling you feel, that euphoria within. You just want to be with that person day and night, never far apart.

I think I now understand what people have been banging on about for years...and I am finally ready to admit to it.

I'M IN LOVE...

with these Kirrily Johnston shoes.

I spotted them on the catwalk a few months ago but it wasn't until I placed them on my feet in store last week that I had a real Cinderella moment.

To some they may seem just a clunky mass of platform shoe but to me, oh-to-me they are just the sweetest things alive.

I will happily stop seeing my friends and forgo the single life if I can spend every waking moment with these things. In my mind I have already paired them with my faux leather American Apparel leggings for a result that will give the illusion that I'm actually no less than ten feet tall.

All I hope now is that they don't break my heart because I have already written "Kirrily Johsnton Platform Searching Heel 4EVA" all over my pencil case.

lady love

I hate to admit it because its so cliched....but I have some serious lady love for Christine Centenera. Yes so does every other blogger on this earth but I feel that by finally putting pen to paper (or should that be keyboard to blog), that my first post on this it girl is my right of passage in the blogging world.
She the fashion editor of Australia's Harpers Bazaar (yes we can actually claim this one as our own) has sparked a frenzy of street fashion phenomena. The girl never has an off day and is what I would consider to be somewhat of a poster girl for the in season shoulder pad. So whilst most of the fashion elite are fighting off claims they have had a face lift, our dear Christine has proudly announced that she isn't one to shy away from a little lift in the shoulder department.

Her forte is shoes (her collection sends my heart into a platform heeled flutter), her legs are envious and her clothing I cannot even begin to describe. Except to say that her style is edgy -she pairs fur with studs and leather making it look like black and white are the odd couple. She does casual chic with ease one day and then sends you into a tail spin the next by wearing a dress of a kaleidoscope of colours and patterns combined with mismatched shoes that work so well you wonder if your eyes are actually deceiving you?

It is without hesitation that I can say that Centenera is fashion centuries ahead of the rest of us.

who needs colour

Who needs all the colours of the rainbow when you can have a classic black dress as grand as this? Ok so she did add some hot pink lipstick and two tone green/blue platform heels to the mix. But honestly, can the shoulder and scoop back detail of this dress be any more fabulous?

I think not.

one last thing

one last word before i fall asleep in a heap of inspiration and officially begin the new week with much to do......

sex.drugs.and.ali.stephens

Feast your eyes on Ali Stephens for Tokyo Numero magazine October 2009. This would have to be one of the best shoots I have seen in quite a long time. I'll take everything she's wearing, the metal, the leather, the studs, the chains, the insanely ridiculous platform boots, and they can throw in the boom box for good measure. Seriously though, where can I get me one of those these days?
