They say in a court of law you are innocent until proven guilty. But what if you are guilty by your own admission. Do you still get sent to jail?

I have recently embarked on an unnecessary shopping spree. In a bid to curb my guilt, I was hoping that if I called my credit card company and freely admitted my wrong doings, they might just let it all slide, interest free....

In the case that that doesn't work I have a Plan B! Enter EBAY. I have just listed over some 17 items on ebay in the hope that the money earned will go to the helpmycreditfromfloundering foundation.

And so whilst I await for that first person to hedge their bets and place a bid on my belongings I sit and stare at my recently acquired purchases....

Thank you Kirrily Johnston subterranean dipped knit, thank you Country Road perfect slouchy silk shirt, thank you Topshop Addison wedge boots, thank you Strawberrynet for my Marc Jacobs daisy perfume, thank you O.P.I for your delightful shades of nail varnish, thank you op shop for my Stevie Nicks inspired green bell sleeved dress, frayed poncho and lace tee.

And just for good measure I have thrown in a pic of my new pet elephant, purchased on a recent trip to Perth. Ain't he cute!

monday i have Frye on my mind

The balmy 30 degree temperatures outside would suggest that Summer remains ever so present here in Melbourne today. But rewind things a fraction back to last week and one wouldn't' be so sure. That's the thing about Melbourne weather, its fickle. Much like myself. So when it comes to clothing, shoes and accessories what I love one week will differ entirely to what I am lusting for the next.

This week I can't even begin to describe my total and utter love/passion/obsession/addiction for these Frye rogan studded combat boots. I would even go as far as saying I would trade my entire shoe collection for them. If I don't receive a pair of these for my birthday consider it a day spent in tears, wallowing in self pity. I can see them pairing so well with my just purchased, slash eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new Shakuhachi dusty pink Geisha Girl shirt dress. I think I just shed a little tear of excitement.

Monday I have Frye on my mind.

Talk to me next week though and I am sure my obsession/love/passion/addiction will have been placed elsewhere.

boys wanna be her, girls wanna be her

Sometimes Kill's band mate to Jamie Hince, sometimes model, most of the time (as it appears at the moment) happily fronting new four piece super group The Dead Weather with the formidable Jack White.

I introduce Alison Mosshart aka the latest in a long line of my obsessions.

Not since Stevie Nicks has a leading lady fronted a band with such sass and blatant I don't give a f*ck attitude (she chain smokes on stage for hours on end and rarely interacts with the crowd). Her style is thrown together in that casually cool effortless way with a wardrobe that exposes long draping cardigans in Mexican patterns, plaid shirts thrown over ripped tees, torn jeans, scuffed vintage boots one day and Dior Homme gold boots the next.

Only Miss Mosshart would rock a Chloe show in chunky boots, torn jeans and pearls that would put the Queen to shame...and not only that but get away with it while smirking at the cameras. She strolls around town in leopard print overcoats, fur jackets and skinny leg jeans and essentially is what Kate Moss tries to be. The difference you ask? She has a voice to carry it off (Moss' warbling alongside Pete Doherty on La Belle et Le Bete just didn't quite cut it for me). Mosshart is in fact a source of contention between Hince and Moss and if you follow your tabloids as avidly as I do, you will note that she is said to have caused many a scuffle between the two. Moss vs Mosshart? Now there is a fight I would happily buy ringside tickets to see, can you imagine the leopard print and Louboutins that would come flying out of that one?

Allison Mosshart is the type of rock chick that the boys want and the girls want to be. Her blase somewhat arrogant attitude, killer voice and epic style has me hanging from the heavens.

Love her.

if i were but a mere male

If I were but a mere male I would want to wear Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2010...and a bit of Burberrry too.
I would want that Acne plaid shirt. I would want hair like that and friends like those. I would wear my vintage Nikes, my brogues and my hiking boots with pride.
And I would think Macauly Culkin to be a pretty cool dude, but Bob Dylan even cooler.

a little Acne, does a girl good

Just can't get enough of Acne Spring/Summer 2010. I want that sheer shirt with motif design on the back so badly and the two tone off the shoulder dress needs to be mine and the there is an empty spot in my wardrobe for the black suede fringed jacket.
Life would be a happier place with a little of this Acne collection in my life
