so frenchy, so chic

Do yourself a favour and download music by Berry and Nouvelle Vague, le plus tot possible (asap!!)

I was lucky enough to see these guys a few weeks back at Prince Bandroom thanks to the formidable So Frenchy, So Chic group, who sure know how to bring Paris to Melbourne.

Combining Berry and Nouvelle Vague in the one setting brought back fond memories of my time in Paris back in the summer of 09'...sultry warm nights strolling the Latin Quarter, pain au chocolat in hand, french jazz softly permeating my ears, sipping red red wine, whilst watching the so frenchy, so chic pass me by in a haze of glory.

But enough of my self indulgence, if you want to know more, check out my review for Laneway Magazine HERE.

Or better yet, head to HEY JO where you can catch his words with enigmatic Berry and his snaps of the gig itself. While you're there, have a look around, his blog is real niceeee.

Until we meet again however, la bonne nuit mes petits amis xx

copy cat

Writers block strikes often. Sometimes the ideas just don't flow like they should. Other times however, the ideas and words fly around my head, but the ability to express them is lost.

Such is the case when I see THESE street photos of THIS girl from style clicker.

There are so many things that I want to say about this thrown together slash carefully crafted ensemble and yet my backspace button continues to get a working as nothing is coming out quite right.

I am at a loss for words, however I will say this,

LOVE that girl, LOVE her shoes, LOVE her hat, LOVE her wee woolen knits.

LOVE so much, I raided my cupboard and pulled out my long woolen American-Indian inspired cardigan from Zara Fall 2009 and the $25 hat that that I scored from Victoria Markets a few shopping infused Sundays ago.

...they say flattery is one of life's greater compliments, I hope she agrees...

They say in a court of law you are innocent until proven guilty. But what if you are guilty by your own admission. Do you still get sent to jail?

I have recently embarked on an unnecessary shopping spree. In a bid to curb my guilt, I was hoping that if I called my credit card company and freely admitted my wrong doings, they might just let it all slide, interest free....

In the case that that doesn't work I have a Plan B! Enter EBAY. I have just listed over some 17 items on ebay in the hope that the money earned will go to the helpmycreditfromfloundering foundation.

And so whilst I await for that first person to hedge their bets and place a bid on my belongings I sit and stare at my recently acquired purchases....

Thank you Kirrily Johnston subterranean dipped knit, thank you Country Road perfect slouchy silk shirt, thank you Topshop Addison wedge boots, thank you Strawberrynet for my Marc Jacobs daisy perfume, thank you O.P.I for your delightful shades of nail varnish, thank you op shop for my Stevie Nicks inspired green bell sleeved dress, frayed poncho and lace tee.

And just for good measure I have thrown in a pic of my new pet elephant, purchased on a recent trip to Perth. Ain't he cute!

Click here and here and here and here oh and how about here...should you so wish to indulge in some online shopping.

M-I-A, not the musician

I've gone MIA the last few weeks and my excuses are limited, suffice to say I won't bore you. Instead let me entertain your senses, let your eyes dance over these photos that I love so.
They are currently archived under one of the million and one folders I have dedicated to this blog. Most of which rarely see the light of day, but are forever treasured on my hard drive.
