The Rolling Stones sang it true when they uttered the words, 'I can't get no satisfaction' because just when the weather turns and I get those deliciously balmy 30+ degree days that I have been so longing for I get a strong craving for chunky woolen knits. The kind of knits you throw on over Bassike tees, your most worn jeans and weathered boots, open fire place not included.

It is in my experience to never ignore cravings...so I'm just going to go with it. I'll just counterbalance my most favourite winter knits with some ripped summer shorts, a refreshing mojito and some serious air-conditioning.

Anything that Alexander Wang does is never anything short of amazing. And whilst his spring summer 09-10 collection had everyone buzzing at New York fashion week, it really was his catwalk braid that set the tone for the new season.

Hit the blogs and you'll find every budding fashionista sporting the teased plait to Wang perfection.

Don't get me wrong, I do love it but as a hair-out kinda gal I'm issuing a warrant for the return of the tousled side part. Nothing excites me more than pictorials of the uber cool Alice Dellal in all her grunge glory with strategically placed side part, tousled just enough so you can glimpse her dark roots and wonder if she has just crawled out of bed.

Braids are of the moment, but the side part will always be epic.

gene pool did good

When the gene pool got together on Edita Vilkeviciute they sure didn't leave anything to chance. They threw everything they had into this girl and the result? Well its good a one.

She reminds me just a fraction of Erin Wasson minus the undeniable edge (I think its the eyes?) and just a little of Claudia Schiffer circa a time when she was channelling Bridget Bardot (the pout perhaps?).

Either way she sure is something and if photos proove that she is using her down-time to hang with the likes of Karl then you just know she is onto a good thing.
