Commes des Garçons' (translation for the non-french minded: like some boys) Fall 09/10 collection is strangely enchanting. No not exactly practical but since when was fashion ever anything but? Rei Kawakubo does it for the art and he knows how to put on a show that leaves his avid followers wanting more of the kitsch pieces that have just graced their very eyes. His shows are almost like waking from a weird dream. A dream that was a whirlwind of different images, none of which exactly made sense but all of which you are sure had some purpose...like some boys, indeed.
